This is a great little device. it seems to be simple to work and the readings are remarkably consistent. On my "not so good" days, the readings will be lower but will group together within a few points. On "better" days, the readings are higher but again in close agreement with one another, if several readings are taken close together. I have a lot of confidence in the device as a good, great low cost home check for Peak air capacity of lungs.
