It's solid and sturdy, but also light enough for me to move it as needed. Easily assembled. My only complaint is that the forward tip of the seat, which does make it easier to stand up, also makes it hard to stay seated. I keep sliding forward. But using a footstool seems to help the problem well enough. And I probably wouldn't have the problem if I didn't need to have the seat raised so high because I work at a draughtsman's table. All in all, I am very happy with the chair.
