Description

The Detecto's world-renowned eye-level mechanical weigh beam physician scales includes a heavy-duty solid stable 10.5 x 14.5 inch (27 x 37 cm) platform, a dual-reading die-cast weighbeam which may be read from either side of the scale. Long-lasting, durable steel construction with an electrostatic powder paint finish for optimum quality. Capacity may be increased by using an optional counterweight. Scale is 59 inch (150 cm) high. Height rod, wheels and handpost features available. Detecto is the largest medical scale manufacturer in the United States.

I paid for the scale with height rod AND WHEELS; I received the scale, but not the wheels nor any indication of why they had not been shipped along with the rest of my fully paid order. Subsequent communication with customer service has yielded that they "apologize for the inconvenience" and that tracking info will be sent once they ship the wheels; alas, no tracking info (and no wheels) has been received yet. The scale itself is of high quality, and I'll be happy to amend this review if I ever receive the rest of the order.

My physician has me on a strict diet and is weighing me every time I am in the office, so I decided to get the same scale he has to be sure I'm on target. I love how this scale works and how easy it is to use. I don't know why I ever started using a digital scale.

My main purpose was to buy a scale that i can rely on for daily weighing in on my new diet plan. Daily weighing, in my opinion, is very important. And accurate weighing results are equally important to keep one on track. After assembling the well-packed components and calibrating according to directions, I found that these scales were within a 1/2 pound of those used by my WW group and my doctor's office. Can't get better than that.
