Description

The seca 700 is easy to use and read thanks to its sliding weight bar at eye level. The large, cast-iron base frame is steady, with a low-threshold and has a non-slip rubber pad. Stepping onto the scale is therefore particularly safe, even for large, heavy weight or mobility-impaired patients. The seca 700 is designed for years of heavy work and delivers precise results independent of mains power or batteries even in unfavorable climate environments.

The assembly instructions were very poor - a series of not very detailed diagrams with no explanation whatsoever. One of the four bolts would not go in all the way and wouldn't come back out either! Luckily I don't plan to swing on my scale, so it should be sturdy enough as is. Eventually I got it together and calibrated, and the resultant scale is excellent. Just what I needed.

Just giving you a word of warning. I just bought this scale and I will have to say it is the worse scale I have ever bought. I didn't buy it on Amazon--but probably should have. The company I bought it from will not let me send it back. I am very light weight and every day that I get on it to way myself, I weight a different weight. And, it is always way, way off from my scale that I have had for years and compare it to my doctor's scale. Now, since they will not take it back, I had to dispute it on my credit card and am hoping I can get rid of it. I JUST WANT TO GET RID OF IT. Just stick with you basic floor model and you will be a lot happier. Compare it to your doctor's scale and just let it go at that. On this scale, the tension rod moves all the time and will never settle down so that you can actually see what you way. I'm just trying to save you the trouble of trying to return something that Seca will not take back and are also very rude. Additionally, my husband had said the scale was damaged--yet Seca did not want to hear about it. Hope this helps you to decide and save you a lot of $$$.
