DETECTO's SlimPRO talking healthcare scales are ideal for the elderly, obese, blind, and telemedicine use. They feature 600 lb/272 kg capacity, Bluetooth connectivity, Mother/Baby weighing mode, ribbed rubber mat for traction, backlit blue LCD, and an integral carrying handle. The SlimPRO’s spacious platform size is 17 in W x 14.5 in D x 1.4 in H / 43 cm W x 37 \cm D x 3 cm H. The scale is easy to use for the vision impaired and provides a clear, pleasant voice announcement of the weight in your choice of six languages: English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Hindu, or Chinese (switch selectable). The voice function can also be turned off. The SlimPRO is a high-capacity, low-profile digital scale for clinical or personal weighing use. The spacious, extra-wide weighing platform easily accommodates patients up to 600 lb/272 kg. The stylish gray color blends into any environment. The scale automatically turns on when a patient steps on the scale and turns off when they step off.

As the name implies, DETECTO’s SlimPRO is an incredibly thin 1.4-in/3-cm high scale that contains loads of weighing performance and durability for clinical-grade usage weighing heavy patients. The SlimPRO features Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 4.0 for wireless connectivity with mobile apps. The Mother/Baby mode factors the weight of infants and toddlers held by an adult. The SlimPRO may be used in applications including physician offices, clinics, gyms, home healthcare, and bathroom personal use. The scale can even weigh accurately on carpets. The special swivel feet allow the scale to be used on a variety of floor surfaces. The SlimPRO is powered by 4 AAA batteries, which are included with the scale. Auto-On and Auto-Off functions help conserve battery life. The integral carrying handle and light net weight make it great for home healthcare or travelling nurse use.

I bought this scale specifically I needed one that would get an accurate reading on very thin carpeting. Although it's a nice piece of equipment, it does not get an accurate reading (as stated in the description) on carpeting. It's not even close. Disappointed.

I have been looking for a scale that reads with accuracy and isnt as bulky as some of the proffessional scales are. I came across this slimpro scale and I love it. It was exactly what I was looking for. A slick design with great percision. Although it's on the higher price range, you definatley get what you pay for, a GREAT scale!!!!
