Aquoral® is a prescription-only protective oral spray designed to provide relief from chronic and temporary dry mouth (xerostomia). Aquoral uses a patented lipid-based formulation to lubricate the oral cavity and help retain moisture. The spray provides relief typically lasting 4 to 6 hours. Its protective coating helps relieve dry mouth discomfort associated with medications, medical conditions, cancer treatments, and other causes of reduced saliva production.
Aquoral contains Oxidized Glycerol Triesters (OGT) produced through a process of controlled oxidation of corn oil, a patented technology exclusive to Aquoral. The OGT in Aquoral bonds to and forms a protective film over the whole of the mucous membranes of the mouth. This lipid film lubricates the oral cavity and prevents the loss of moisture from the tissues.
