Adults age 18 or older with inactive to moderately active lifestyles. |

Children (7-17) with inactive to moderately active lifestyles. |
| Athlete Mode |
Tanita’s “athlete” is involved in intense physical activity of approx. 10 hrs per week and has a resting heart rate of approx. 60 beats-per-minute or less. People involved in a “Lifetime of Fitness” and are very fit, but not currently active 10 hrs per week, are also considered “athletes.”
Not intended for professional athletes or bodybuilders.

| Daily Caloric Intake |
DCI is an estimate of how many calories you can be consume within the next 24 hrs to maintain your current weight. |

Calculates user's body water percentage. |
| Muscle Mass |
Displays the weight of muscle in your body. |
| Physique Rating |
Allows you to check your status as you become more active. As you reduce the amount of body fat, your physique rating will also change accordingly. |

| BMR |
Displays the Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is the daily minimum level of energy or calories your body requires when resting. |

This feature indicates the weight of bone (bone mineral level, including calcium or other minerals) in the body.** Tanita’s Innerscan Monitors do not directly measure bone density.

We recommend models with a programmable memory button for each potential user.
If any of the potential users are very fit, they may require a model with Athlete mode (see above for definition).
Tanita Scale plus Body Fat Monitors display body fat readings in increments of either 1%, 0.5% or 0.1%. Choose a model with the level of detail that you require.
In addition, many models incorporate exclusive features into their results displays. Look for features such as Weight Recall, Calorie Guide, Weight-Only button and Healthy Range Indicator.
